How to Add Cricut to Computer With a USB Cable?

Connecting Cricut via USB cable is the same for both Mac and Windows. Moreover, the USB cable connection is very stable compared to Bluetooth. It takes less time and is also easy to connect.

Here’s how to connect Cricut to a computer using a USB cord:

  1. Plug the power cable into your Cricut machine and turn it on.

  2. After that, take the USB cable to the computer and the machine’s USB port, usually placed at the back.

  3. Then, you need to navigate to design.cricut.com/setup in a web browser.

  4. Next, you have to download Cricut Design Space, which I will explain later in this blog.

  5. Now,  you need to start setting up your machine or create your first project.

How to Add Cricut to Computer via Bluetooth?

Before you connect your Cricut to your compatible device, you need to place your machine on a flat surface and ensure a distance of 10 – 15 between the computer and Cricut. After that, you need to understand how to connect Cricut to computer Bluetooth to Windows & Mac.

For Windows

  1. To add the Cricut to your PC, you have to open Settings.

  2. To open Settings, go to your desktop and press the Windows logo icon + I button. This will take you to Settings

  1. Once you have entered Settings, you need to click on the Devices option.

  1. You have to check whether your Bluetooth is ON.

  2. Then, select Add Bluetooth or other device.

  1. Afterward, you will have to select Bluetooth and wait for your PC to find the machine.

For Mac

  1. Confirm if your computer is turned on or off.
